Currently Cavity Wall Insulation is available free to all homes, regardless of income and you do-not need to be on benefits. The Government’s latest scheme, called ECO2t has opened up Cavity Wall Insulation to everyone.
Within the United Kingdom there are 24.3m homes that have lofts and 18.8m homes with cavity walls. The ECO scheme was started in April 2013 (ECO1) and is currently running under ECO2t, the “t” presumed to stand for transitional, bridging a gap between the old ECO2 scheme and the forthcoming ECO3.
